YEAR ONE / START HERE
Welcome to Year One
Year One combines a Notion practice workspace with seven interactive planning tools. This page sets it up in a few minutes - copy your workspace, open the tools, and connect Cash Flow if you want the live projection.
01
Copy your workspace
Your practice workspace is a Notion template you duplicate once and keep as your own.
- Click Copy Year One Workspace - Notion opens in your browser.
- Sign in, or create a free Notion account if you don’t have one.
- Choose where Year One lives. For a personal or solo setup, choose Add to Private. If you already use a practice workspace in Notion, choose where you want Year One to live.
- Wait for the duplication to complete.
02
Make it yours
Rename “Your Practice Name” to your own practice. Keep the copy private unless you deliberately choose to share it - this is your ongoing practice workspace.
03
Open the tools
The seven planning tools live on the web, alongside your workspace. Use them whenever you’re making a decision:
- Runway
- Savings / Buffer
- What to Charge
- Fee Proposal
- Cash Flow Projection
- Employee Cost
- Client Pre-Qualification
04
Connect Cash Flow (optional)
Connect Cash Flow if you want to use the live projection. The other six tools work on their own and need no connection. Cash Flow Projection reads the cash plan from your Notion copy, and scenario changes you model in the tool are temporary - they never change Notion.
- Open Cash Flow Projection.
- Click Connect Notion.
- Choose the workspace that contains your copied Year One.
- Select the copied Year One page.
- Click Allow access.
- If “Finishing your connection” appears, wait a moment and click Try again - Notion takes a few seconds to finish setting up a newly copied workspace.
05
